With the technological advancements, Minimal access surgery has established itself as a preferred niche field with a growing popularity, not only among surgeons, but gynecologists and other specialties as well. It is constantly evolving with changes and advances being made continuously. It is necessary to keep updating our knowledge as well. Currently, National Board of Education offers fellowship training in minimal access surgery by conducting a MCQs based entrance examination every year. There are also other programs and surgical societies in the country offering various courses in the field of MAS. This book is being written in an effort to provide a comprehensive guide for those who are preparing for these examinations as well as to those who have keen interest in Minimal Access Surgery. The 2nd edition of the book includes more than 500 new MCQs covering various aspects of Minimal Access Surgery. Image based MCQs have been added to all the sections. Three new sections on Robotic surgery, Minimal access Neck & Thorax Surgery and Laparoscopic instruments have been added. We hope that this book will prove beneficial to the students, postgraduates and practicing surgeons alike.
