The first edition of synopsis of anesthesia aims to provide a single text book, short yet comprehensive to provide efficient and rapid revision of concepts to meet the clinical needs of anesthesia residents. A physician has to learn and update knowledge because of constantly evolving advances in management. There is an exhaustive amount written on anesthesia and critical care as subject is vast and varied, but not always readily accessible.
